Mark Walpot Employee Profile

When did you join Microserve?

I joined Microserve in 1999, 15 years ago – time flies when you are having fun.

What role do you have as part of the Microserve team?

Originally I started at Microserve as a Project Manager, following that I became the Manager for Services in Victoria. I am currently the Director of Technical Services. I live in Victoria and in my current role I spend a lot of time in the Victoria and Burnaby branches. With all the traveling back and forth to Vancouver, I should get frequent ferry miles, or at least a free cup of coffee.

Tell us something cool about your job?

In 1999 when I started working for Microserve I looked after the Ministry of Attorney General's Refresh Project. We then won the Desktop Support Request For Proposal. This morphed to partnering with IBM and in partnership looking after all of the BC Government and Healthcare Shared Services BC's Desktop management contract.
