We have two highlighted jobs this week, a sales coordinator position in our Edmonton office and a contract UX/UI position that’s open to anyone in Canada.

Sales Coordinator, Edmonton

Our Edmonton office is looking for an experienced sales coordinator to help with the administrative tasks of keeping a busy sales staff running at peak efficiency. Position Overview

Microserve is looking for an experienced Sales Coordinator to join our team based in Edmonton, Alberta. In this role you will provide sales and admin support to ensure key tasks are completed and critical information is communicated in a prompt manner. This position is based in Downtown Edmonton.

Responsibilities:

  • General Sales Support Functions within an Inside Sales Team.
  • Delegate customer inquiries to the appropriate department for pricing of products and services in a timely fashion, and provide follow up.
  • Help write customer quotes and proposals.
  • Auditing of Sales Reports.
  • Regularly update CRM systems with up to date customer data.
  • Generate sales reports via the CRM System.
  • Pricelist & Catalogue updates.
  • Stocking Level & Logistics Management.
  • Product End of Life / Transition Management.

Requirements:

  • 2 plus years Sales Coordination experience in an IT Services company.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Business Administration in a benefit.
  • Previous experience with ConnectWise CRM systems, or similar systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 2013 namely Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

UX/UI Designer (Vancouver or remote)

Our Victoria-based client needs an experienced UX/UI Designer to join their Vancouver office. While the position associated with the Vancouver office, our client welcomes and encourages designers anywhere in Canada to apply for this position. Our client is expanding its distributed workforce, so remote workers are welcome to join the team. This is a fast-growing company working in security and preventing online fraud. Position Overview

Microserve’s client requires a UI/UX Designer to join its team in Vancouver. This is a contract position (40 hours per week) for 1yr with the ability to work remotely.

The UI / UX Designer will provide design expertise and help guide the delivery of our next generation products. You will work on a variety of projects and your primary focus will be to design fully functional Graphical User Interfaces for multiple platforms and devices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, integrate and deploy cross platform User Interfaces for Company products, services, websites and projects
  • Work closely with the team to implement modern user experiences for our products
  • Research and recommend web and other applications and services as assigned or proactively to continuously improve Company technologies
  • Install, configure and maintain web and other applications and services as required
  • Develop and maintain software installation and configuration procedures
  • Help develop, contribute to and maintain system standards
  • Support and participate in proper protocols for documenting and managing all technology related activities, applications and processes
  • Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary
  • Contribute to estimation and scoping of projects
  • Troubleshoot front-end issues for existing applications
  • Suggest improvements in existing code to make a better software experience for our customers
  • Other duties and responsibilities normally associated with the role.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience designing Graphic User Interfaces
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, related degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Web 2.0
  • Extensive Experience programming experience in Python
  • Some Experience with Django
  • Knowledge of how 3D graphics are rendered
  • Experience with test driven development
  • Passionate about developing great user experiences
  • Experience in Responsive web design
  • Understanding of OOP concepts and design patterns

Preferred Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working with a team that will be deploying into a Linux AWS environment
  • Proficient understanding of git source control system, branches and releases
  • Experience with front-end MVC/MVVM JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, Ember, Knockout, React, Node
  • Experience developing reusable front-end components for other developers to consume
  • Well versed in popular open source projects
