This month Microserve announced, with great sadness, that we had to say goodbye to a valuable member of our team. After eleven years at Microserve our Manager of Payroll and Human Resources has decided to move on to her next big adventure. With the shift of someone leaving, Microserve has decided to take a more progressive approach to its Human Resource and Payroll.
Microserve’s plan is to split the role into two individual functions, that of a Payroll Manager and a Director of Human Resources. This approach will empower the Payroll and HR teams to provide the necessary support that the organization will require as Microserve grows and develops as a Leading IT Services provider. By splitting the roles, we are hoping to achieve more investment into areas such as Talent Management and the Employee Experience here at Microserve.
Director of HR:
This new position will be reporting directly to the Vice President and General Manager of Microserve. They will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing Human Resource programs and practices that help advance Microserve's vision, mission and values. The role will also take responsibility for embedding a feeling of 'One Microserve' across all three of our branches by unifying our processes and practices across the organization. As a key partner and resource to management, staff and the human resources team the Payroll Manager will have responsibility for full-cycle payroll processing as well as the organization’s benefits program. The holder will ensure the accurate and effective delivery of these services to staff while ensuring compliance with all internal policies as well as federal and provincial legislation. The position will also lead on the implementation of the company's compensation program, ensuring that the necessary systems, policies and training are in place to deliver this.
