Position Overview:  

Microserve is looking for an experienced, seasoned, competent, motivated, and ambitious Account Executive to focus and continue to accelerate our Managed Services offering.  The location is flexible between Alberta and British Columbia.? If you love finding new business opportunities and foster executive relationships with clients to position business solution, this job is for you! You will be directly responsible for the growth and acceleration of an already strong managed services base of customer. 

As an Account Executive focused on Managed Services you will be responsible in selling Microserve’s comprehensive managed services offerings to small and mid-sized businesses.  You will be responsible for identifying and developing new client prospects, managing client relationships, and ensuring successful delivery of Microserve services and solutions to clients.  You will develop comprehensive strategies to drive team success and own customer relationships. You will become focused on the term MRR, better known as Monthly Recurring Revenue and this will be your primary area of focus in terms of growth. 

Additionally, you will leverage your business and partnership relationships by researching the account to understand its operating model, business challenges, critical metrics, and growth strategy to develop a solution-based strategy to build client relationships and partnerships.  
 

Responsibilities:  

  • Actively seek, identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities focused solely on Managed Services and Solutions.  

  • Prospecting; warm calling, cold calling, mining lists and attending networking events 

  • Build strong client relationships and continue to build new opportunities within assigned accounts on an ongoing basis 

  • Perform complex sales within an IT consulting environments by clearly defining best business solutions, developing strategies and execution of plans and utilizing business models. 

  • Effectively manage the sale through the entire defined sales cycle 

  • Leverage key programs, relationships, technology and personnel to move sales to closure 

  • Develop and nurture solid business relationships with influencers and decision makers within client organizations who will see you as a trusted IT advisor 

  • Work closely with other members of the team to develop and present technical solutions that are the best-fit for our clients’ needs 

  • Take overall responsibility for all aspects of the sales process to ensure the successful delivery of solutions and services within assigned client accounts 

  • Update and Manage Client information and opportunities in CRM 

  • Provide forecast and other reports as requested by management 

  • Act as an escalation point for clients on issues pertaining to all aspects of their relationships with Microserve 

  • Participate in call-based and other marketing or lead generation campaigns as required 

  • Consistently demonstrate a high level of teamwork through working cooperatively and effectively with other internal and external stakeholders 

  • Utilizing our readily accessible team of resources to help you prospect, engineer solutions, and handle flow business 

  • Lead and/or participate in writing proposals and RFP responses for your clients. 
     

Requirements: 

  • Degree/diploma in related Business field is strongly preferred 

  • Proven experience in sales/account management specifically in IT Managed Services.  

  • 5+ years of experience with demonstrating ability to sell within IT hierarchy and complex business solutions 

  • 5+ years demonstrated high performance, sales success, (with a focus on driving and closing net new business) 

  • Extensive knowledge and interest in local IT market and industry is strongly desired 

  • ITIL certification is considered an asset 

  • High level of skill with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to make presentations to various clients 

  • Goal-oriented “go-getter” attitude to achieve targets through self-motivation and determination 

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain relationships 

  • Strong leadership skills will be considered an asset
