Advance Integration Lead (12 Month Contract)

Responsibilities including but not limited to
  • Lead and drive the coordination and management of day-to-day activities associated with the integration domain i.e., project management
  • Develop, maintain, monitor and adjust integration project plan to align with evolving and dynamic situations associated with design, build
  • Ensure integration and alignment of project management activities across multiple work streams and domain areas to ensure inter-related activities are aligned and coordinated; 
  • Provide oversight and guidance to project team members to ensure accountability and clear project plans are in place to work towards critical milestones; 
  • Tracks project progress according to project plan, monitors and reports on status of projects and major obstacles encountered, utilizing concepts of Dynamic Scheduling to continuously monitor, adjust and ensure manage risks
  • Risk and Issues Management: Responsible for ensuring risks and issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner.  Timely escalation using the escalation and governance process and structure Identify potential risks and issues; devise and implement appropriate mitigation plans; monitor and report on risks and issues.
  • Project Controls are in compliance with TMO project control processes to ensure visibility, risk management and effective decision and change requests are tracked, registered, reported and addressed to resolution to stay within established project scope, schedule and budget; 
  • Provides oversight and guidance to project team members to ensure accountability, clear project plans are in place to work towards critical milestones; 
  • Leads the facilitation and coordination of relevant activities and resources across and within the integration, other domain and stakeholders to support the sign-off of key deliverables:
    • Integration Architecture Design as part of the Expanse Solution Architecture 
    • Identification of the systems that required integration scope based on the business requirements; note:  scope of integration needs to be in alignment with the broader Advance Scope Charter 
    • Development of the Integration Strategy within the context of the Advance Scope, Schedule and Budget 
  • X-Functional and Stakeholder engagement – Developing and executing on an engagement plan to work closely with 40+ downstream system vendors and partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to make recommendations to senior management and influence business decisions based on thorough analysis.
  • Assists with the maintenance of project artefacts, including project plan, risks and issues log, action items
  • Ensures weekly and monthly status reports are collated, developed and provided in partnership with the Transformation Management Office. 
  • Anticipate in various governance and project meetings as required
  • Performs duties as directed by the project manager’s direct report. 
  • Mentors internal staff to ensure knowledge translation for sustainment

 

Skills Required
  • 10 – 12 years managing large, complex EHR implementation projects with multiple work streams, vendors and business partners, to create and execute on project work plans, revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Experience using PMP tooling like Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow ITBM for managing Project Management workflows and Microsoft Server (Dymamic Scheduling) for project management plan development, maintenance, reporting and dashboard; 
  • 5+ year experience leading the design and build of interfaces with large complex systems including standard messaging (HL7, FIHR) and integration systems such as Biztalk or Mirth.
  • Ability to lead teams to develop integration requirements and specification documents within established timelines and project scope.
  • Experience with ancillary systems and interface functionalities in healthcare.
  • Knowledge on digital health data standards including FIHR, ICD-10, HL7, SNOMED, and others.
  • Excellent interpersonal, client service, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Experience working in a cross functional matrixed environment
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
  • Proven ability to establish strong relationships across business and technology and can deal with conflict resolution in a timely and effective manner.
  • Strong demonstrated communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to effectively translate complex integration and technical concepts into business and clinical language for different audiences.
  • Previous experience as a project manager working across diverse clinical, technical, informatics and advance analytics stakeholders and teams.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience around standard messaging like HL7 and FIHR.
  • Working knowledge of different Meditech modules such as ADM, HIM, LAB, PHA, IDM, SUR, PCS, EDM, MIS, UNV, NPR, across the Magic, Client/Server, and Expanse platforms.
  • Experience working with ancillary solutions such as Laboratory Information Systems, Picture Archiving and Communication Systems, Regional Clinical Viewers, Enterprise Master Patient Index Systems, and Report Distribution Systems.
