Services Required 
The Advance program is looking for a resource to support the implementation of Jira for the Advance project:

Purpose of the Position
The Jira resource will be responsible for the key deliverables and milestones associated with the setup and configuration of Atlassian Jira product, to support the development and tracking of a project plan (sprint-based). The tool will also be used to generate reports, as well as setup dashboards of key performance indicators. The following represents a high-level view of the data flow/roll-up and usage.

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Setup and Configure Atlassian JIRA or similar software to support the project requirements
  • Design and configure workflows as required to meet the project needs
  • Setup of single-sign-on of Jira solution as per the clients access and security guidelines
  • Develop/Configure Atlassian JIRA Workflows, Screens, Post-Functions (including validation) and supporting reference documentation
  • Load and validate existing project plans and structure as defined by the client as part of the requirements and design sessions
  • Develop Reports & Dashboards as per requirements
  • Deliver end-user training and training documentation to support the roll-out of Jira to the project team

Knowledge Transition – Mandatory 
While the client is looking for providers in this phase, the overarching guiding principle and goals of the “Advance program” is to manage the implementation with internal resources given the long-term nature of the project.  With this in mind, a key expectation is the effective transition of knowledge through-out the course of the contract by the consulting firm to internal resources.

Specific Qualifications or Experience Required 

  • Proven experience implementing Atlassian Jira software
  • Proven communication (verbal, written, and presentation) skills with ability to convey data and technology solutions to all stakeholders
  • Proven ability to establish strong relationships across business and technology and can deal with conflict resolution in a timely and effective manner
  • University degree in Administration or Commerce or Engineering or Computer Science or other post-secondary education acceptable
  • Knowledge of all aspects of the software engineering process.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall development processes.
  • Should have good communication skills and be able to handle complex challenges.
  • Proactive, self starter with the ability to manage project outcomes and expectations
