Business Analyst (6 months contract)
Location: New Westminster, BC
Staffing placement opportunity

Deliverables 
Normal business analysis deliverables and supporting documentation will be expected. These include, but are not limited to, the following: 
• Proposals  
• Business Cases 
• Resource Estimation 
• Feasibility Study Definition documents  
• Decision Documents, Briefing Notes 
• Budget estimation and cash flow forecasts 
• Statements of Work  
• Meeting agendas, minutes, and action items 
• Presentations 

Knowledge & Experience 
• University degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related discipline/field of study
• Minimum of 5 years of business analysis experience, in complex enterprise systems and  multi-stakeholder projects/environments.  Experience working in a union environment would be an asset 
• Training and experience in best practice business analysis techniques/processes. CBAP certification or equivalent would be an asset, but not mandatory 
• Strong facilitation and communication skills (written/oral), including how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
• Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts 
• Proven track record of working with business stakeholders to identify, assess and document business requirements and processes 
• Ability to work with technical analysts/advisors and translate these business requirements into high level system specifications 
• Proven experience facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups
• Ability to tackle and learn a new domain quickly 
• Strong analytical skills. Ability to gather, analyze and consolidate information from a variety of sources 
• Experience in:
1. Gathering and analyzing functional and technical requirements and information from key business areas
2. Designing and implementing technology projects and business process initiatives and/or product management
• Experience or knowledge/understanding of:
1.  COTS, new development, enhancements/support 
2. Organizational change (OCM) in projects
3. Integrated technology solutions and the components of system design (infrastructure, network, software, security, support, privacy)
• Experience in the Justice or Policing sector would be an asset, but not mandatory
• Proficiency in standard MS Office productivity tools, including Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint
