Director – Transformation Management (12 Month Contract)

Responsibilities

  • Review current TMO to identify gaps and opportunities to improve and optimize the current Transformation Management with respect to, processes, tools, staffing, risks and issues management, project controls, resource management, demand management, integration of project activities across various teams, and vendor and contract management of 3rd party contracts;
  • As a key leadership member of Advance Program, the Director, TMO will provide oversight, guidance and leadership to manage the day-to-day activities over the various project managers and leads who are supporting the Advance Program
  • Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of resources in partnership with the Advance Program leadership;
  • Ensure integration of project management activities across multiple work streams and domain areas to ensure inter-related activities are aligned and coordinated;
  • Dynamic scheduling and project planning to develop, maintain, monitor and adjust project plan to align with evolving and dynamic situations associated with design, build and implementation, typical of large complex EHR implementations.
  • TMO will maintain, adjust and monitor the risk and issues registry, as well as, all the change control processes including Decision Logs, Records, and Change Requests;
  • Establish a solution platform to manage demands, as well as, track and monitor progression of key activities and deliverables utilizing our ServiceNow Platform;
  • Provides oversight and guidance to project team members to ensure accountability, clear project plans are in place to work towards critical milestones;
  • Effective and dynamic issues and risk management that is solution focused with clear, concise and effective mitigation.
  • Responsible for ensuring risks and issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner
  • Collaborates with internal and external leadership teams to provide oversight and coordination of the implementation work streams and related project plan
  • Responsible for supporting the development of presentation materials for the monthly Executive Steering Committee for Advance;
  • Responsible for collaborating with site leadership to ensure site readiness
  • Responsible for supervision and management of project team
  • Ensures project spend aligns with approved project budget
  • Ensures weekly and monthly status reports are collated, developed and provided by working with the Advance Project Managers and Leads
  • Participates and supports appropriate governance committees to ensure appropriate agenda, minutes and materials are prepared by the appropriate resources including the Solution Design Decision Committee (SDDC), as well as, other relevant committees.
  • Performs duties as directed and provided by the Advance Program Directors and Leadership
     

Experience and Skills 

  • Senior project management experience setting up dynamic Transformation Management Offices that are responsible for implementing complex, in a multi-site, multi-year projects with budgets in excel of >$100M;
  • Experience running dynamic Transformation Management Offices (TMO) with complex matrix reporting relationships, dynamic project scheduling, resource management, contract & vendor management and multiple inter-dependent projects running concurrently through the TMO. 
  • Experience with Dynamic Scheduling and project management methodologies;
  • Extensive project management (PMP preferred) with dynamic scheduling and project management methodologies.  NOT looking for a transactional Project Manager. 
  • Advanced / Expert user of MS Office, MS Visio, MS Project, Office 365,
  • Experience working with ServiceNow ITBM, Jira (Confluence),
  • Strong visual and presentation capabilities to ‘translate’ complex clinical, technical and healthcare concepts into visual materials for varied audiences from c-suite to VPs and technical stakeholders;
  • Experience and understanding of BC’s healthcare governance and landscape around shared services models and clinical delivery
  • Experience working in digital health and healthcare environment preferred
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to form partnerships.
