ERP Project Manager (7 Month Contract)

Staffing Placement Opportunity 

will be working closely with senior staff, as well as functional and technical teams consisting of staff and contractors. The successful candidate will perform all project management activities including but not limited to the following:
• Update the project schedule, financials, procurements, communications, quality, risks, decisions, etc.
• Under the direction of the ERP Program Director and in coordination with the third-party vendors the Project Manager will plan and manage the project activities Prepare all project planning documents utilizing BTS’ comprehensive project management methodology and supporting templates.
• The Project Manager will:
• Direct the activities of internal and external (contracted) resources including Business Analysts and subject matter experts, Data Analysts, Developers, and Quality Assurance Analysts as required by the ERP Program.
• Follow project governance structure (including Project Steering) to drive consensus on project issues and achieve desired outcomes.
• Prepare and communicate detailed monthly and ad hoc reports to stakeholders including status reports and updates to the Project Steering Committee.
• Schedule Management: Maintain and monitoring project schedule ensuring adherence to key milestones.
• Risk Management: identify and monitor risks and propose mitigation strategies as appropriate.
• Team leadership: managing a diverse team of technical experts and contract resources in the ERP Program. Interpersonal and communication skills as well as business acumen will be critical.
• Project Delivery: Utilizes standard project management methodology and tools to manage project activities.
• Technical management: overseeing the work of a technical team (design, building, testing, deployment, change management) throughout the project life cycle and per the ERP Program’s agile model.
• Of note is given the project has concluded requirements definition and systems configuration sprints, the following duties are not required:
o No scope management activities (outside of vendor requested Change Requests during testing)
o No Budget and Contract Management

Knowledge and Experience 
• Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science.
• 6+ years of full cycle technology project management experience, preferably with experience in enterprise application implementation projects, in large and complex organizations.
• Knowledge of the Agile methodology and tools such as KANBAN, PMI Agile certification would be an asset.
• Extensive and proven experience managing stakeholders and an ability “to bring people together”.
• Experience or understanding of organizational change (OCM) in projects.
• Experience in managing multiple suppliers and System Integrator (SI).
• Experienced in data migration and integration activities on large legacy system upgrade projects.
• Experience in the management of large budgets, including status reporting, forecasting.
• Experience working with, communicating to, and making formal presentations and recommendation to senior management within a large organization.
• Experience leading an interdisciplinary team of technical and business resources effectively.
• Experience with the standard MS Office tools -including Microsoft Project-, and SharePoint.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is a plus.
• Previously we were looking for experience with implementing Finance, Supply Chain Management, ERP, Asset Management or Transportation related solutions would be an asset. Given we are in the closing phases of the project, we are looking for a resource with intermediate to senior level experience in complex projects.
