IT Infrastructure Project Lead (25 Month Contract)

Responsibilities including but not limited to
  • Lead project administrative facets of the IT project delivery in order to mitigate any project delays.
  • Lead the planning, design, and deployment of assigned work packages.
  • Provide plans, work breakdown structures and associated schedules, technical requirements/specifications (working with IT technical resources), budget, and resource plans for the assigned IT Infrastructure Work Packages.
  • Manage issue, risk, and scope change management processes related to the assigned IT Infrastructure Work Packages. 
  • Work with the IM/IT Core Team on major scope change assessments, decision-making and implementation schedule changes.
  • Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders, convey information, and respond to queries and concerns with respect to the IT components of design, construction, commissioning, and move-in.
  • Provide regular, clear, and concise reports to the IMIT teams regarding ongoing issues, risks, challenges, and opportunities.  Includes monthly progress update reports. 
  • Attend, design and construction meetings that have impacts to IT and ensure meeting outcomes and decisions are accurately documented and IT follow-up actions are completed in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with technical specialists, clinical planners, equipment planners, design consultants and various operational groups for assigned projects.
  • Lead small to medium size IT project and/or work packages assigned by the IT Delivery Project Manager Solutions or the Lead Consulting IT Engineer. 
  • Review schematic diagrams, design development documents, and working drawings and specifications for adherence to contractual statement of requirements.
  • Manage receipt, dissemination and archiving of IT project documentation and correspondence via document control protocols 
  • File and/or archive Authority-completed IT project materials 
  • Collaborate with builder teams in order to identify and address all IT-related post construction deficiencies prior to Final Completion.
  • Assist and/or facilitate IT operational commissioning and any other assigned Go-Live project activities leading to a successful building opening such as build/configure, test and go live activities & plans
  • Develop repeatable templates, tools and techniques that can be used for future facilities initiatives requiring similar activity and provide knowledge transfer.
  • Assist in other related initiatives and other redevelopment projects as requested by the Executive Director, Capital Facility Projects, IM/IT Solutions.


Skills Required
  • Experience working on P3 and/or Design-Build construction projects is preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience working on IT infrastructure projects, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience using formal document control tools such as Aconex, MS SharePoint is preferred
  • Experience using drawing review tools such as BlueBeam and Revitzo is preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in an IT Project Lead/Coordinator role.
