Land Surveyor (6 Month Contract)

Requirements:
– Must be a commissioned BC Land Surveyor
– Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of broad survey experience
– Geomatics Engineering Degree would be an asset
– Canada Lands Surveyor Commission would be an asset
 
 
Duties:
– Conducts, or directs the performance of technical staff in the performance of legal surveys and technical surveys for transmission and distribution lines, reservoirs, stations and generation facilities and other properties and works.
– Conducts assessments of field evidence and registered documents pertaining to property titles for purposes of verifying boundary monuments in place, in determining the true position of obliterated or lost boundary monuments and in determining the position of boundary monuments to be established during the course of land (cadastral) survey.
– Directs the preparation and checking of legal survey plans, signs final drawings prior to deposit in Land Title Office.
– Plans and coordinates assigned survey program.
– Maintains liaison with Land Title and Survey Authority and various governmental agency personnel regarding land survey matters.
– Prepares estimates, schedules and work plans and provides quality assurance reviews for a variety of legal and technical surveys completed in-house or by consultants.
