Project Manager M365 Implementation (12 Month Contract)
Location: Victoria, BC

Responsibilities; including but not limited to
  • Assist with developing roadmap, project plan, and project tasks, identifying key decisions
  • Review of the clients systems to gather and capture information about existing infrastructure
  • Identify potential challenges in this migration and pose solutions
  • Recommend a communications and training plan for the clients users
  • Proposal on resource requirements, timing of resource needs
  • Assist with the identification and migration plan of existing services and applications to Off
  • Assist with tenant configuration for the clients accounts
  • Develop Cloud-Native (AAD Only) vs Hybrid use case, risks, and mitigations
  • Advise on suitable active directory preparation and policies
  • Planning considerations to implement directory synchronization
  • Determine required tasks for configuring network and DNS
  • Identify and recommend networking changes (e.g. bandwidth requirements, firewall rules, etc.)
  • Develop migration strategy, considering mailboxes, public folders, and transport anjournal rules in place
  • Identify mailbox size and item counts that will be migrated to Office 365
  • Determine mail-enabled applications and plan for configuration
  • Assist with Exchange Online service configuration
  • Assist in the evaluation of Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection
  • Anti-spam and malware protection configurationice 365 and Azure services (e.g. DUO MFA to AAD MFA)
Education and Skills
  • have a minimum of three (3) years of experience within the last seven (7) years as a Project Manager in one or more of the following knowledge areas :
    • Project Integration Management
    • Project Scope Management
    • Project Time Management
    • Project Cost Management
    • Project Quality Management
    • Project Human Resource Management
    • Project Communications Management
    • Project Risk Management
    • Project Procurement Management
  • have an undergraduate degree (e.g. BA, B.Sc, information technology, engineering or other technology related field). The Province will consider certification as a CA, CMC, CMA, CGA, or CFA as an alternative to a conventional undergraduate degree;
  • preferably have a PMI – Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation;
  • have ability to make effective use of technology (e.g. special product knowledge such as Microsoft Project);e) provide project examples that clearly demonstrate experience on at least three (3) projects of eight (8) months or longer duration, which includes strong communication skills to lead stakeholders from multiple groups with diverse interests to consensus on project scope, objectives and responsibilities and liaison with Ministry management and staff;
  • f) provide project examples that clearly demonstrate three (3) or more years in managing multi-disciplinary teams (e.g. core business staff, professional employees, middle managers and other private sector contractors) and developing feasibility studies, business cases, and treasury board submissions;
  • provide project examples that clearly demonstrate experience in preparing project charters, master project plans, providing risk analysis and risk management, and coordinating Ministry resources and contractors to achieve project objectives;
  • provide project examples that clearly demonstrate experience in managing change requests/budget requests including:
    • cost estimates;
    • schedules;
    • resources required to deliver integrated solutions;
    • deliverables;
    • inter-dependencies on other tasks/sub-projects/Ministries’ projects; and
  • provide project examples that clearly demonstrate a track record of successfully delivering medium complexity projects (less than $5M in value, greater than six (6) months in duration and at least five (5) people reporting to the Project Manager) preferably in a public sector environment.
