Project Manager – PC Upgrade (18 Month Contract)
Location: Remote/Vancouver, BC
Staffing Placement Opportunity

Key Job Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
1.   Manage systems upgrade project to ensure the work meets key business objectives and is completed on time within budget
2.   Manage project scope in collaboration with business stakeholders
3.   Create project plans, project schedules, budgets, etc. and monitor against targets; produce variance reporting and explanations
4.   Actively manage project risks and issues, identify/initiate corrective action where required; conduct monthly risk assessments and report on risks and issues
5.   Maintain progress measures and deliver status reporting
6.   Ensure maximum efficiency in allocation of skills and resources within the project; maintain resource plans and forecasts for the project
7.   Work collaboratively with the extended project team and key stakeholders
8.   Liaise and ensure adequate communication with project sponsors, business, stakeholders and the project team
9.   Manage dependencies between assigned project and other projects

1. Project Charter
2. Project Status reports
3. Estimates
4. Project Plan
5. Resource Plan
6. Risk/Issue/Decision Logs
7. Executive Presentations and others
 
Position Specific Skills or Qualifications Required:
1.   Extensive experience working in partnership with vendors in the delivery of projects, with prove track record in collaborating and holding the vendors accountable to timeline and deliverables.
2.   Proven ability to work with all levels of management, with particular experience with senior management and executive levels
3.   Experience managing major version and technology upgrade projects with critical Lines Of Business
4.   Understands and addresses inter-dependencies and issue management
5.   Ability to manage aggressive timelines
6.   Experience in managing projects with remote teams (both internal and vendor teams)
7.   Strong understanding of technology and experience in driving decisions, addressing risks and resolving issues in the technical domain
8.   Proven track record of not just taking projects to the finish line, but also ensuring sustainable post implementation and operational success.
