Senior Business Analyst- SC-ERP (6 Month Contract)
Location: Burnaby, BC

Responsibilities including but not limited to
  • Define and provide inputs on the business problem, opportunities, risks, and primary objectives related to the project.
  •  Lead discussions with stakeholder groups to identify and analyze requirements using a variety of techniques such as interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, use cases/scenarios, workflow analysis.
  •  Develop and deliver communications to senior managers and stakeholders of different groups.
  •  Lead the development of the business solution deliverables per the client’s standard methodology and support the Organizational Change Management activities.
  •  Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts and decompose high-level information into use cases, test cases and technical specifications.
  •  Document detailed business requirements and high-level system design using the client’s standard project methodology and coordinate requirement walk-throughs and sign-offs with business stakeholders.
  •  Work with the System Integrator and business stakeholders to design and document future to-be business processes, using the client’s standard business process notation and diagramming methods.
  •  Perform fit-gap analysis against industry leading practices and system functions, as required.
  •  Evaluate potential workarounds and technology solutions to ensure that they meet business requirements.
  •  Supports the development of the Business Case and other benefit justification artefacts as needed by the client’s Capital Management group
  •  Prepare and present decision documentation to key stakeholders for decision-making.
  •  Assist the Sr. project manager in developing and maintaining project plans and the WBS, as required.
  •  Supports the Product Owners, Test Lead and QA in the development and delivery of UAT, SIT, Test Strategy and Plan; ensure that business needs and requirements are met.
  •  Develop Use Case Scenarios and evolve them into Test Scripts.
  •  Support the User Acceptance Testing.
  •  Provide coaching support to the junior members of the project team and coordinate the BA activities with other project team members.
  •  Support the development of a standard process architecture framework for the ERP program.
  •  Work with the System Integrator, vendors and other stakeholders to prioritize requirements, resolve conflicts around functionality, features, and specifications.
  •  Keep sharp focus on the project deliverables.
  •  Act like a gatekeeper of activities, lean thinker who knows how to maximize the value from the stakeholder interactions and meetings and assist various stakeholders to get to relevant decisions effectively and efficiently.
  •  Be the liaison and conduit between the Sr. Project Manager, SCM lead, BA team, Systems Integrator/Vendor SME, Business SME and stakeholders on the project. Perform duties and functions as assigned by Project/Program Management Office from time to time.
  •  Support PO’s (Product Owners) in the User stories, acceptance criteria and coach PO’s on Agile best practices.
Education and Skills
  • Capable of supporting the cradle-to-grave business solution design on complex business transformation initiatives.
  •  Ability to apply structured problem-solving and decision-making techniques and facilitate discussions with different stakeholders including the senior managers and executives.
  •  Experienced with developing and delivering project communications to senior stakeholders.
  •  Knowledge of financial or supply chain functions or standard practices.
  •  Hands-on knowledge of process design methodology and tools such as MS-Visio.
  •  Familiar with data maintenance practices, reporting tools or analytics in enterprise settings.
  •  Previous experience with implementing ERP finance and supply chain systems such as SAP, Oracle E-Business or Infor EAM/CSF would be desirable.
  •  Previous experience with developing the business case or benefit realization models would be an asset.
  •  Awareness of the Principles of Emotional Intelligence and Social Intelligence in a Workplace setting.
  •  Ability to effectively build relationships in Fully Remote work scenarios.
  •  Familiar with ADKAR model for Change in Business, Government.
  •  Highly proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams, SharePoint)
  •  Working knowledge of Agile tools such as Azure DevOps and/or willing to learn prior to starting the role.
