Job Title: Senior Product Manager
Location: Richmond, BC, Canada

Key Deliverables:
• Develop and present business and execution plans for product success, product roadmaps and product releases.
• Produce product roadmaps based on the company’s strategic goals, the market’s demands and opportunities, and the technological and financial resources available;
• Create vision documents and multi-generational product plans to be able to tell the product journey for their product or product line throughout its product maturity lifecycle.
• Communicate product strategies with stakeholders; prioritize, validate to define minimum viable and maximum value releases;
• Share product visions, articulate business value and provide clarity of value with engineering teams; work with engineering leaders to guide development from ideation to delivery;

• Gather and distil requirements from customers, the clients sales and customer support groups, and other internal and external stakeholders and translate them into an actionable vision and product roadmaps;
• Gain a deep understanding of the market, competitive landscape and identify opportunities for the client through new ideas and intelligent solutions that improve customer experience and drive growth;
• Manage the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities;
• Serve as primary product expert (functional, not technical) for a portfolio of software products with the ability to deliver detailed product-related presentations and demos to technical and business-oriented audiences;
• Work with Product Owners, R&D Managers and Project Managers to generate development estimates and delivery schedules for contractual commitments, customer-funded development, and other development projects and commitments.
• Scope and prioritize what the development teams will deliver based on business and customer impact;
• Work with development teams to define releases, address issues, and lead the vision of the product within the teams; Present your forward vision quarterly to your engineering teams as well as the clients leaders during quarterly business review meetings.
• Support marketing, sales, and support groups with the development and maintenance of various technical marketing collateral including product announcements, release notes, FAQs, user guides and field training
• Provide leadership to more junior members of the Product team (i.e. Product Owners and Product Managers);
• Responsible for the adherence to the product management process within the product group, including continual improvement for product management practices.

Experience and Knowledge:
• Minimum 15 years of proven work experience in product management and related experience for the product subject matter.
• Knowledgeable in technology with understanding and/or experience in software development.
• Experience working within an Agile software development environment.

Education Required
University degree from an accredited institution or equivalent
practical experience
