SharePoint Online & Teams Lead (3 Month Contract)

Staffing Placement Opportunity

The Sharepoint Online & Teams Lead will provide the following services: 
  • Provide leadership in the development and implementation of our information architecture and information governance to protect information and data, ensure compliance with regulatory 3 requirements, and promote optimized use of M365 OneDrive, SharePoint Online and Teams across the organization 
  • Convey the value of the M365 platform focused on teamwork (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams) by understanding business needs and translating those requirements into capabilities of the M365 platform 
  • Conduct Discovery Workshops with stakeholders to inform and describe best practices of SharePoint Online and Teams and analyze the feedback and input to develop migration and adoption strategies. 
  • Provide leadership on SharePoint Online and Teams best practices ensuring new development techniques following industry recommended paths 
  • Establish best practices on the use of the M365 Admin and Compliance Center to configure settings including, but not limited to, external sharing, search, and information protection.
  • Provide the framework and implementation leadership for migration LAN drive content into OneDrive and SharePoint Online including ensuring business engagement.
  • Design site taxonomy, site hierarchy, site structure, content types, templates, and metadata based on SharePoint best practices and organizational standards for Teams and Sites 
  • Define the intranet migration strategy from on-premise to a M365 (SharePoint Online) intranet 
  • Provide instruction, coaching, and support for the use of M365

Education and Skills
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with planning, migrating, and deploying large enterprise clients to Microsoft 365, with an emphasis on SharePoint Online and Team site implementations. 
  • Minimum of three projects that demonstrate experience in planning and developing IT and IM governance for cloud environments
  • . Minimum of one project that demonstrates leading a data migration
  • Three years’ demonstrated ability to elicit requirements, provide advice, and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams, senior management, and other ancillary project members.
  •  Strong Information Architecture skills including developing future state architectures that include intranets, employee portals, knowledge Management & Search. 
  • Strong leadership, communication, and facilitation skills. 
  • Be able to lead workshops from start to finish, process outcomes, collect feedback and lead the development of future state information architectures and associated implementation approaches & plans. 
  • Knowledge of Azure, cloud solutions architecture, related technologies, and interdependencies. 
  • 3 years’ experience in developing IT and IM governance for cloud deployments. 
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving, analytical skills, and strategic thinking 
  • 3 years’ demonstrated experience in implementing information management and document management best practices 
  • Experience using M365 compliance centre to protect and secure information assets.
  • Designing document management assets (e.g., channels, site columns, content types, libraries, managed metadata, policies
