Technical Delivery Manager (8 Month Contract)
Location: Remote/ Edmonton, AB

Responsibilities including but not limited to
  •  Responsible for management and administration tasks including project plans, resource plans, timelines, status reports, progress reports, release planning.
  • Establishing and operating control processes including schedule management, status reporting, issues, risk, and change management
  • Project coordination of project plans with other client projects and/or enterprise components for integration purposes.
  • Investigation of technical issues
  • Management and coordination of approvals and sign-off of deliverables by clients.
  • Management, coordination and monitoring of team resources ensuring work assignments are completed to approved criteria
  • Managing development team members, mentoring and providing direction as required.
  • Developing the technical project plan and monitoring execution of delivery
  • Participate in resource acquisition and allocation as required to meet delivery solution timelines or requirements.
  • Reviewing team deliverables to ensure technical component meet client standards and practices.
  • Working within PMO governance structure and communicating with many types of audiences
  • Delivering technical designs that align with client strategic direction for enterprise architecture.
  • Delivering tested components that meet business requirements, functional and non-functional test cases.
  • Delivering technical and user documentation of the completed components
  • Support implementation and integration of solution into production environment.

 

Education and Skills

 

  • Must meet or exceed one of the following:
    • University graduation in business, management or a related discipline and 4 years related experience; OR
    • 2 year diploma in business, management or a related discipline and 6 years related experience; OR
    • 1 year certificate in business, management or a related discipline and 7 years related experience; OR
  • Currently active professional certification or accreditation in a related discipline and 7 years related experience
  • Experience using Microsoft System Center Operations Manager creating monitors for both applications and services.
  • Experience using Microsoft System Center Operations Manager Application Performance Monitoring to diagnose and provide mitigation plans for poor application performance.
  • Experience using Microsoft System Center Orchestrator for automating workflows.
  • Experience automating application deployment workflows using BuildMaster.
  • Experience working in an ICT environment.
  • Experience working in technical management or technical delivery management role.
  • Experience and technical knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or higher.
  • Experience delivering solutions within an Enterprise Architecture Environment.
  • Experience delivering solutions within an Enterprise Architecture Environment.
