Position Overview
We are looking for a Warehouse Team Lead to join our onsite warehouse team in Calgary, AB. The Warehouse Team Lead will be responsible for Warehouse Operations which consists of Receiving, Picking, and Shipping.
They will manage and work with the warehouse team to ensure that we are efficiently receiving and processing incoming inventory, making necessary verifications against purchase orders, and logging incoming waybills. They will work with the picking team to ensure accurate and timely picking. They will work with the shipping team to meet onsite delivery requirements via multiple shipping methods.
The Warehouse Team Lead will also be responsible for ongoing performance management of their team including day to day coaching, mentoring, conducing annual performance reviews and team development. Responsibilities

Provide support and training to the Warehouse team as needed in the following areas:

As required to the Picking, Receiving and Shipping teams

Organizing and processing incoming warehouse inventory

Ensure accurate and timely picking process with daily oversight

Moving skids and helping drivers load or un-load trucks (when needed)

Process orders and documents for shipping; Coordinate shipping with couriers

Update paperwork and ticket/sales orders within internal systems
-
Ensuring good housekeeping and safety procedures are maintained in the Warehouse

Ability to handle rush projects and dealing with ambiguity/multitasking with a customer first approach.

Resolution and mitigation of operational incidents.

Handle the process of converting products into customer owned assets. Involves invoicing as per customer agreements within specified timelines.

Use experience to help resolve operational challenges and provide real-time advice for escalations, issues and errors.

Act as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding warehouse operations/escalations. Answer calls, emails and chat for resolution.

Work with Internal resources to identify and resolve productivity/application issues.

Provide advice to stakeholders and guide/connect them to the appropriate team, for non-Warehouse related issues.

Support other departments in the Tech Centre as necessary, Configuration and Asset Recovery teams.

Collaborate with project coordinators, drivers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.

Optimize processes to streamline warehouse operations, reduce errors and improve efficiency.

Work with Inventory and Warehouse Specialist to perform month end and periodic cycle counts.

For both internal and external clients, work proactively to ensure that service delivery is aligned to their needs, handle escalations and work on improving the overall client experience.

Perform administrative tasks including performance reviews and leave management in ADP

Working on training plan development for new hires and existing employees.

Ensure the team is motivated and meeting assigned productivity and utilization targets, distribute the daily tasks to the team, and be an advocate for tools and resources for the team.

Work on process improvement and innovation with a focus on improving efficiency, utilization, productivity, revenue and customer satisfaction.

Actively participate in Leadership meetings, Team building, and Operational meetings.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
-
3+ years of experience in a Warehousing industry.

Some leadership experience is required

Must be comfortable with computers and computer programs
-
Knowledge with Excel and formulas
-
Adept at leading team activities and quality audit processes

Adept in change management and in implementing changes in the team.

Experience in handling pallet jack / forklift usage
Position specific requirements

Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.

Must be able to pass a criminal record check (CPIC)
