Microserve 30: Meet Debbie Briggs

We're back with our five-part blog series where we introduce senior executives to celebrate Microserve's 30 years in business! Today we're introducing one of our sales Account Executives, Debbie Briggs, who's been with us for over 12 years. Here's what she has to say:

1) What would you consider your life motto?

Life's too short, seize the moment because some opportunities don't come twice.

2) What do you think is the key to success in the tech industry?

Extraordinary customer service, supply chain knowledge, product knowledge. 


3) What do you envision the future of technology to look like?

In the future I think there will be less understanding of product technology and more understanding of product features and benefits. Not that we've reached our full potential and human kind won't invent new breakthrough technologies, but meaning that people will take technology progress for granted and focus on asking "what can it do for me?". There will be more advances to "de-clutter" technology rather than features. 

4) Based on your work experience in the tech industry, how has your experience at Microserve been compared to others? 

Microserve is a company that encourages personal growth and allows you to explore new roles and expand your experience to the fullest. Microserve has large groups of long term employees, so they must be doing it right along with monthly meetings that keep everyone united, up to date and motivated. It is however a larger firm compared to other companies I've worked at.

5) Has Microserve allowed you to develop and further your career? If yes, how so? 

I was in IT for 17 years in various fields when I began at Microserve I started in Inside Sales and then proceeded with taking on more of a sales role. The role I am in today was due to my hands on approach with clients and the attention I was able to give to my clients. Microserve has allowed me to service a more or less stable client group developing strong client and supply chain knowledge and relationships. They have always been encouraging to me and they've been family over the past 12 years.
