 Business Analyst – Payroll  (20 Month Contract)
Location: Remote/ Victoria, BC
Staffing Placement Opportunity

Responsibilities including but not limited to
  • Building relationships and collaborating with various groups of diverse stakeholders. 
  • Facilitating workshops and conducting interviews to elicit desired future state payroll requirements.
  • Applying best practices and methods for financial business analysis and documentation. 
  • Documenting standard operating procedures, processes and end-user documentation. 
  • Collaborating with QA teams in the design and execution of user interfaces and test cases. 
  • Incorporating an understanding of ERP payroll systems and applications and the business context in which they function. 
  • Working within agile teams, including: 
    • Collaborating with the Product Owner team to create, understand and refine backlog items and acceptance criteria. 
    • Collaborating with technical teams to handover, review and validate functional requirements. 
    • Participating in Sprint Planning and setting the sprint plan goals. 
    • Contributing to continuous improvement of the team's process.
Education and Skills
  • Ability to facilitate workshops and conduct interviews to elicit payroll specific future state requirements
  • Ability to apply knowledge of best practices and methods for business analysis to achieve a well documented future state
  • Ability to document standard operating procedures, processes and end-user documentation
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups
  • Ability to distinguish business process change requirements from systems change requirements.
