Position Profile:
The Programmer/Analyst’s role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new and existing software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications.

Required Education, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering
  • A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years working in software maintenance and development
  • Proficiency in a variety of programming languages, including Visual Basic.Net, C#, SQL, ASPX, Progress 4GL
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Acumatica
  • Extensive relational database and operating systems experience with MS SQL Server
  • Knowledge of client/server and operating systems with Windows, Windows Server and Linux
  • Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices
  • Good knowledge of Accounting

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the process of transitioning from a legacy Progress 4GL based system to Acumatica ERP
  • Development and maintenance of software programs and applications
  • Liaise with system users to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software and hardware systems
  • Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures
  • Train end users to operate new or modified programs
