Oracle Cloud Project Manager (18 month contract)

Role Description: As an Oracle HCM Specialist reporting directly to the Lead Project Manager, you will serve as a subject matter expert to drive process optimization and ensure meticulous implementation aligning with Oracle HCM Cloud best practices tailored to specific needs. You will collaborate closely with functional and technical project teams, contributing to the achievement of project transformation objectives and milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and comprehend business requirements, aligning them with Oracle HCM Cloud Fusion functionalities.
- Participate in Functional/Technical Design Workshops to apply industry best practices.
- Provide specialized guidance for process optimization following Oracle Cloud's best practices.
- Execute functional and technical tasks to achieve project milestones.
- Bridge communication gaps between functional business and technical teams.
- Assist in the data migration process to ensure a smooth transfer of pertinent data.
- Collaborate with the implementation partner to ensure system configurations adhere to standards.
- Guide the preparation of validation scripts, testing scenarios, and test script development.
- Supervise quality assurance processes for functional and technical deliverables.
- Proactively identify and address risks and obstacles.
- Provide progress updates, challenges, and accomplishments to the Lead Project Manager.
- Contribute to project status updates for stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in technical processes and configurations.
- Make recommendations for enhancing system performance and user experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, sciences, engineering, human resources, or related field OR 10+ years of related work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of recent experience implementing Oracle HCM modules.
- Minimum 3 successful full implementations of Oracle HCM Cloud as Functional SME or similar roles.
- Hands-on experience with payroll and human capital management systems.
- Proficiency in Oracle HCM Processes and Systems.
- Experience with HCM Extracts, Oracle Cloud data loaders, BI Publisher, and OCI integration services.
- Strong analytical skills and systematic problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience reporting to senior leadership.
- Ability to manage, mentor, and collaborate with junior staff.
- Oracle Cloud Human Capital Management Certification required.
- Experience implementing large software projects in a large organization, preferably in the public sector.
- Experience collaborating on business process enhancements.
- Payroll Certification (CPP, FPC, CPM, etc.) and project management certification (PMP or Prince2) considered assets.
- Experience implementing position management in a large organization considered an asset.
