A Worldwide Celebration of Sexual and Gender Diversity ( IDAHOT)

International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia (IDAHOT)

A Worldwide Celebration of Sexual and Gender Diversity (IDAHOT)

Today is International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia (IDAHOT). On May 17th, 1990, the World Health Organization removed homosexuality from its list of mental health disorders. Since then, this date has been marked as a day to raise awareness to the violence and discrimination still faced by the LGBTQ+ community.

In support of this important day, here is a message from our Director of Human Resources, Charisma Maharaj:

“Microserve is an equal opportunity employer where we believe that diverse perspectives drive creativity, innovation, and foster a feeling among employees that their opinions matter. Diversity is about ensuring you have people of different backgrounds and experiences represented in the workplace. Inclusiveness takes it a step further by creating an environment where people’s differences of thought and experience are actually appreciated and viewed as a business advantage. Microserve is always striving to create a diverse workforce that positions us to attract and retain top talent across all aspects of identity.”
